How to create custom order statuses

How to create custom order statuses

Besides the statuses Jarbas already includes, you can create your own — with your own name and colour — to track the stages of your business.

Where to create them

Configurations › Orders and Sales › Order Status

Or, inside an order: Change Status › Manage my status.

Tap Add new status. Only admin users have access.

What to fill in

Name — the name you actually use day to day: In production, Out for delivery, Ready for pickup.

Movement Stock — decides whether stock is deducted when an order enters this status.

  • On: Jarbas deducts the order's products from stock.
  • Off: stock is not changed.

Colour — tap Select the color for this status. This colour is what appears in the orders list and in the filters.

Tap Save.

Watch out with stock movement

Switching it off means don't touch stock, not give the stock back.

If the order already went through Confirmed (which deducted stock) and you move it to a custom status with the switch off, the deduction still stands. Stock only returns when the order goes to Canceled or Pendent.

Statuses that can't be edited

Pendent, Confirmed, Paid Out, Finished and Canceled are fixed: you can't rename them, change their colour or disable them. The statuses you create work alongside them.

Disabling a status

In the Order Status list, switch off the toggle next to the status. It stops appearing on new orders, and older orders stay as they are.
