A Sales Fee is an extra amount charged on an order — a service charge, a card-machine fee, a packaging fee. You can let Jarbas add the fee for you, so you don't have to remember it on every sale.
Configurations › Orders and Sales › Sales Fees
Tap Add new sales fee.
Name — how the fee appears on the order and on the receipt. E.g. Service charge, Card fee.
Type — choose between:
Value — the fixed amount or the percentage.
Automatically add to order — turn this on so Jarbas applies the fee without you picking it.
Payment Type — optional. See below.
Tap Save.
It all depends on whether you fill in the Payment Type field:
No payment type — the fee goes onto every new order, as soon as you start the sale. Good for a service charge.
With a payment type — the fee is added only when you choose that payment method at checkout. Good for passing on a card-machine fee: create a 3% fee tied to Credit and it will only show up on credit sales.
In both cases Jarbas tells you on screen: "Sale fee added automatically".
Each payment method takes only one fee. If you try to link a method that's already on another fee, the app warns "This payment type is already in use."
Only one automatic fee without a payment method is applied. If you create two, Jarbas uses only the first. If you need to charge two things on every order, combine them into a single fee.
The automatic fee is a suggestion, not a lock. Inside the order you can remove or change the fee before finishing.
Open the fee and tap the bin icon. Orders already made with it don't change.
