Yes, Jarbas
allows you to adjust the font size of your receipts and choose the paper size
for the PDF version. These options help you create receipts that are easier to
read and better formatted for your type of printer.
1. How to increase or decrease the receipt font
size
-
On the home screen, tap Settings.
-
Tap My
Receipt.
-
Tap Font
Size.
-
Move
the slider:
Important
The font
size affects all types of receipts in Jarbas:
-
The image receipt (the
one shown in the app and shared through the Share button)
-
The PDF receipt
(generated using the PDF button)
-
The printed receipt
(printed through a thermal printer connected to Jarbas or printed via a
PDF on a regular printer)
So, if you
increase the font size, all receipt formats will display a larger font.
2. How to change the PDF paper size
-
On the home screen, tap Settings.
-
Tap My
Receipt.
-
Tap PDF
Page Format.
-
Select the desired width, such
as 80 mm or 50 mm.
Important
The PDF
Page Format setting affects only the PDF receipt. It does not
affect the image receipt or receipts printed directly on a paired thermal
printer.
3. Important note about thermal printers and
computer printing
Some users
have thermal printers that are not compatible with Jarbas, so they print
receipts through a computer instead.
Here’s what typically happens:
-
Jarbas generates the PDF
with the correct width (80 mm or 50 mm), based on your PDF Page Format
setting.
-
But the actual printing is done
by Windows (or another operating system).
-
If your printer is configured
with a fixed paper length, Windows may add a blank space at the
bottom of the receipt to match that length.
This
happens because the system is trying to print on a fixed-size page, not
on a continuous roll, which thermal printers use.
How to fix this
Adjust your
printer settings on Windows (or your operating system):
This
prevents blank spaces and ensures your receipt prints correctly.
