Cash register per device or per person: choosing the mode

Jarbas needs to know how to group cash register movements: by device or by person. That choice changes what shows up at closing time.

The two modes

By device — each device (phone, tablet, computer) has its own independent cash register. Movements made on one device are not shared with the others. Ideal when each device belongs to one person or to a separate physical till.

By user — the cash register follows the person, not the device. Movements made from any of that person's devices are combined into the same register. Ideal when the same person switches between phone and computer during the same shift.

How to choose

The first time an admin opens a cash register, Jarbas asks: How should your cash register work? Pick it there.

Afterwards, to check or change it:

Configurations › Payment Options › Cash register mode

The choice applies to future registers

The mode applies to every future cash register in your account. Registers already opened or closed stay as they were.

That's why the best moment to change it is with all registers closed.
