How to sync the sale and cost price across all variations

How to sync the sale and cost price across all variations

When a product has variations (colour, size, flavour), each variation keeps its own price. Changing the product's price does not change the variations' — unless you ask it to.

How to sync

  1. Open the product and change the Sale Price.
  2. Just below the field, the link Sync sale price in variations appears.
  3. Tap it. Every variation now has that price.
  4. Save the product.

It works the same for cost: change the Cost Price and the Sync cost price in variations link appears.

Details that matter

  • The link only appears if the product has variations, and only after you change the value.
  • If you don't tap the link, the product's price changes and each variation keeps the price it had.
  • Syncing puts the same value on all variations. If some should differ, sync first and then adjust the exceptions one by one.
  • Only what you save counts: after syncing, save the product.

If you use automatic markup

Then you don't need this link. With markup on, variations are recalculated automatically, each from its own cost.
