How to Set Up an Installment Sale

How to Set Up an Installment Sale

An installment sale can be initiated either through a Quick Sale or an Order. On the payment screen, click on the Installment option and then on Checkout.

Now you need to define the installment options:

  • Number of installments

  • Observation (optional)

  • Interval between installments (the time between each installment)

  • Down Payment (optional)

As you enter the data, the list of installments will be updated to reflect your choices. You can also manually change the due date and the amount of each installment. To do this, click the edit button next to each installment.

After finishing the setup, click Confirm.

Congratulations, you have made an installment sale!

To view and modify the details of the installment plan, go to the Installment Plan menu or view the order and enter the Installments menu.

On the Installments screen, you will have all the information about the installment plan, such as the number of installments, down payment, payments made, and overdue installments.

If an installment has not yet been paid, you can edit its value and due date. Each time you edit an installment, Jarbas automatically recalculates the other installments. For example, if you made a sale of $120.00 in two installments of $60.00 each, and your customer requested that the first installment be $40.00, you only need to edit the first installment and set it to $40.00. Jarbas will update the next installment to $80.00.
