Can I add late fees or interest to overdue installments?

Can I add late fees or interest to overdue installments?

Yes! Jarbas lets you configure a late fee and interest charge for installments paid after their due date, as part of the Installments Plan feature.

How to set it up

You can set fines and interest in two ways:
  1. As an account default, in Settings > Installments Plan, enable "Charge a fine and interest in case of delay" and fill in the values.

  2. Per order, when setting up an installment plan on the split-payment sale screen — overrides the account default for that order only.

For each one (fine and interest): Fixed (flat amount) or Percentage (of the installment value).

How the calculation works

Fine: charged once per overdue installment.
Interest: charged per day of delay, accumulating while unpaid.

As soon as a payment deadline expires, the application automatically displays the fine amount plus interest calculated up to the current date on the payment screens
