Instead of typing a sale price for each product, you enter the cost and the markup, and Jarbas works out the price for you. When the cost changes, the price follows.
The sale price is worked out like this:
Sale price = cost + (cost × markup ÷ 100)
E.g. a cost of $20 with an 80% markup → a sale price of $36.
Variations are recalculated too — each one from its own cost. A variation that costs more comes out at a higher price, using the same markup.
Variations with no cost price filled in are left alone.
They're two different sums, and mixing them up is the most common mistake:
A 100% markup (cost $20, sale $40) is a 50% margin, not a 100% one.
That's why, just under the price, Jarbas shows both: Markup: X% | Profit Margin: Y% ($ Z). That line only appears for admins.
Open Price Settings again, turn off the Automatic switch and type whatever price you want.
