Rent, internet, the accountant's fee: bills that come back every month don't need entering one by one.

How to create it

1. Record the income or expense as usual, with the amount and the due date of the first month.
2. Tap Repeat transaction.
3. Choose For the next N months — the list goes up to 12.
4. Save.

Need more than 12 months? Choose Custom and enter the number, from 1 to 999.

Check before saving

As soon as you pick the repetition, Next transactions appears with the dates of every entry that will be created. Check there that the dates match what you agreed before saving.

What Jarbas creates

On save, the following months' entries are created right away, all at once. Each one:

• Keeps the original's amount, category and type.
• Gets a due date one month further along.
• Gets a number at the end of the description (Rent - 1, Rent - 2).
• Starts open, with no payment.

You pay each month on its own date, like any other entry.

Once applied, the repetition locks

The field shows: "Repeat already applied. To edit look for the last duplicated transaction."

That means changing the original entry does not change the months already created. If the rent went up, edit the future entries, or delete the series and create it again.

How to delete the whole series

Delete the original entry — the first one, the one carrying the repetition. Jarbas asks:

This transaction was repeated N times. Do you want to delete all of them?

Confirm and every month goes with it. Delete a month in the middle and only that one disappears.

One tip

If the amount changes every month (electricity, a credit card), enter it month by month rather than repeating. Repetition is for fixed amounts.
