Why can’t I delete a financial category?

Default financial categories in Jarbas can’t be deleted because they’re essential for the system to function properly.

Default Expense Categories

Why this happens

System Protection

• Prevents breaking existing transactions
• Keeps reports consistent
• Protects historical data from being lost

Non-editable categories

If you try to edit a default category, the system will show the following message:
“Default categories cannot be edited.”

Create custom categories

• Add your own categories as needed
