Having your own domain (like mystore.com) instead of Jarbas's default address gives your online catalog a more professional look and helps strengthen your brand identity. In this article, you'll learn the step-by-step process to set up a custom domain within the app.
Prerequisites
Before you start, keep in mind:
- Custom domain is a feature exclusive to the Premium plan. Accounts on a trial period do not have access to this setting.
- You need to already own a registered domain from a provider of your choice (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Hostinger, etc.). Jarbas does not sell or register domains — it only connects a domain you already own to your catalog.
- The same domain cannot be used by two Jarbas accounts at the same time.
Step 1: Access the online catalog settings
In the app, go to Settings > Online Catalog. On this screen you'll see the option to enable the catalog and, right below it, the default free subdomain (something like yourcompany.jarbas.net). Tap edit next to the address to open the domain configuration screen.
Step 2: Enter your domain
On the configuration screen, besides the Jarbas subdomain field, you'll find the Custom Domain field. Type in the domain you want to use, without http:// or www. — for example, just mystore.com. Don't worry if you type it with those prefixes: the app automatically removes them when saving.
Step 3: Set up DNS with your provider
Before saving, you need to point your domain's DNS to Jarbas's servers. Tap the DNS Configuration card to see the records that need to be added in your domain provider's panel:
Type Name Value
A @ 216.150.1.1
CNAME www f47e3fe06512ebae.vercel-dns-016.com
You can copy each value directly from the app by tapping the icon next to the field. After adding these records with your provider, keep in mind that DNS changes may take a few hours to propagate, so don't be alarmed if the domain doesn't work right away. Some providers do not allow the use of the @ symbol; in that case, leave the field blank.
Step 4: Confirm and save
With the domain entered and DNS configured, tap save. The app will open a confirmation asking whether you own the domain and whether you've already set up the indicated DNS records. Once confirmed, Jarbas links the domain to your account.
- If everything is correct, the domain is linked successfully.
- If the domain is already in use by another account, you'll see the warning "This domain is already in use" — in that case, choose a different domain or check whether it was previously registered under another one of your accounts.
- If an error occurs during the process, the message "Failed to add custom domain" will be shown — try again in a few minutes or double-check your DNS records.
Final tip
Since DNS changes can take time to propagate, it's best to set up the records and wait a few hours before testing access through the custom domain. In the meantime, your catalog remains normally accessible through the default .jarbas.net subdomain, so your sales aren't interrupted during the transition.
